A Chinese tourist had complained of a sore throat. In total, there were already six suspected coronavirus cases in Austria, all of which were not confirmed.
In Vienna there is also the all-clear for the latest suspected coronavirus case. The affected person was diagnosed with mild flu symptoms, it said on Tuesday from the Vienna Hospital Association (KAV). The Chinese tourist was first treated in the emergency department at the Rudolf Foundation and then admitted to the medical department of the Kaiser-Franz-Josef Hospital.
The woman is from Guangdong Province in southern China and complained of a sore throat. It is the fifth suspected coronavirus case in Vienna that turned out to be negative. Last Monday, a woman and a man went to hospitals independently of one another and showed flu-like symptoms after a trip to China. Both were also treated at the 4th medical department in Vienna’s Kaiser Franz Josef Hospital. There the doctors finally gave the all-clear on Tuesday.

A Chinese citizen was admitted to the hospital in Vienna on Sunday evening. Your negative test result was announced on Monday. The first all-clear was given on Sunday evening. A Chinese flight attendant who was brought to Kaiser Franz Josef Hospital on Saturday evening with suspected infection with the Corona virus is not infected with the new virus, the KAV said on Sunday.
All-clear in Klagenfurt
The all-clear had also come from Klagenfurt on Tuesday. A Klagenfurter who suffered from a runny nose and cough had reported to the authorities after a trip to China to an affected region. The result of the investigation was negative.
In total, there were already six suspected coronavirus cases in Austria, all of which were not confirmed. The current status is published daily on the website of the Ministry of Social Affairs. There were no further suspected cases listed there on Wednesday morning.
